The Food Network's Semi-Homemade star Sandra Lee, shares some tempting summer time treats for any warm-weather get together.
If it’s hot-weather convenience you’re after, then a bottle of Jose Cuervo Golden Margarita, paired with Sandra Lee’s very accessible recipes will have your summertime party crowd jumping in no time. This new cocktail in a bottle is “the first super-premium, ready-to-serve margarita that combines the rich, orange taste of Grand Marnier® and the premium quality of Cuervo Gold.” What could be simpler than twisting off the cap, pouring an ounce or two over ice and enjoying straight up? That’s certainly one easy option, but for those looking to get the party started right, here are Food Network Semi-Homemade host Sandra Lee’s fantastic summertime recipes that are sure to be crowd pleasers (just make sure you have enough for refills!). From Guacamole to a frozen dessert, Sandra's got your every party snack whim covered. Golden Guacamole - the perfect snack to start things off. Ingredients:
Method:Peel, seed and mash avocados. Add all remaining ingredients. Refrigerate for one hour. Serve with your favourite tortilla chips. Margarita Chicken Salad in Lettuce Cups- Fun finger food with south of the border flair. Ingredients:
Method:Poach chicken and 1-cup Jose Cuervo Golden margarita in a covered skillet. Remove from heat when cool, dice chicken into small pieces. Combine all ingredients along with the additional 2 tablespoons of Jose Cuervo Golden Margarita in a small bowl. Refrigerate for 1-hour. Mix and spoon into washed lettuce leaves. And for a perfectly sweet ending try the Strawberry Frozen Margarita Pie - fruit, liquor and cream- what could be better? Ingredients:
Method:Puree strawberries, Jose Cuervo Golden margarita, lime zest, juice and milk in a blender and transfer to a large bowl. In a second bowl beat the cream with and electric mixer, until it forms soft peaks. Fold 1/3 of the cream into strawberry mixture at a time until smooth and until all cream is used. Freeze uncovered until firm, about 4 hours. Remove from freezer and let soften in fridge for half an hour before serving. Serves 6-8
