The popular Passion Fruit and White Grape makes an appearance as Smirnoff's two new vodka flavours- perfect summertime enteraining enhancers!

One of the most popular and enduring drink trends seems to be the RTD category- or “ready to drink” as it’s often called. These alcoholic beverages make it easy for the consumer to pour and serve, or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, craft a cocktail or two out of the liquor of your choice.

Passion Frut and White Grape Vodka

Just in time for patio parties and warm-weather get-togethers, Smirnoff Vodka has added two new offerings to its already existing eleven product flavored vodka portfolio (forming part of the popular RTD category) - Passion Fruit and White Grape. These flavored vodkas combine the sweet, yet tart and tropical flavor of passion fruit and the crisp, sweet and smooth flavor of white grape. Aromatic and nuanced with the sway of palm-trees and tropical breezes, these latest options add a heady surprise to lemonade while the White Grape flavoured vodka brightens any Cosmo.

Guys, you’re likely saying “Girly Drinks,” and while some may fall into that category, this writer knows plenty a guy who enjoys a fruit-enhanced beverage every now and then pre or post dinner! But for the die-hards who enjoy their liquor straight up and unsweetened by any flavouring, there’s a Classic Martini Recipe at the end of this post if the fruit-flavoured vodka trend just isn’t your thing. Red Passion Cocktail Recipe

  • 1.5 oz Smirnoff Passion Fruit Flavored Vodka
  • 3 oz cranberry juice
  • Build in a rocks glass
  • Garnish with a lemon-lime twist

Swaying Skirt Martini Recipe

  • 1.5 oz Smirnoff Passion Fruit Flavored Vodka
  • 1 oz guava nectar juice
  • .75 oz lime juice
  • .75 oz simple syrup
  • Combine in a cocktail shaker with ice
  • Shake, strain and serve in a martini glass
  • Garnish with a cherry

White Grape Cosmo Recipe

  • 1.25oz Smirnoff White Grape Flavored Vodka
  • .25 oz triple sec
  • 2 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz lemon-lime soda
  • Combine in a cocktail shaker with ice
  • Shake, strain and serve in a martini glass
  • Add a dash of lemon juice or squeeze of lemon

White Grape Champagne Recipe

  • .75 oz Smirnoff White Grape Flavored Vodka
  • .75 oz champagne
  • Serve in a champagne flute
  • Garnish with a single white grape

**And finally, for the purist who wants no part of flavoured vodka cocktails:

The Smirnoff Classic Martini Recipe

  • 1.25 oz. Smirnoff No.21 Vodka
  • .25 oz. vermouth
  • 1 twist lemon
  • In a shaker with ice, add Smirnoff No.21 Vodka and vermouth
  • Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass
  • Garnish with lemon twist

This is my flavorite White Grape concoction:
1.5 oz White Grape Vodka
0.5 oz Midori Melon
1.0 oz Sierra Mist
garnish with lime
