I love lemon bars, I just tried a recipe that included lavender in the crust. It was a great twist, unfortunately the proportions in the recipe I used were off. Shortbread should not be soft! Next time, I'll try this recipe with the addition of lavender. (added a day ahead the the sugar)

Lovely idea- the addition of lavender into the sugar. Great tip! Vanilla bean in the sugar is also delightful...
